*Friday 3/16 at 7pm: Intro to Macroeconomics: A Special Presentation for Lyceum and Chautauqua folks with John Levindis, Ph.D.
At Ashé Cultural Arts Center (1712 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd):
*Every Monday and Thursday from 6-8pm: Sistahs Making A Change Dance Class
No dance experience required! A nutritious meal is served after each class.
*Wednesdays in March from 6-8pm: Barbershop Meeting - It's Fathers' Time
A discussion group focusing on issues of importance to growth and well-being, especially of young men. Men of all ages invited.
*Friday 3/16 at 6pm: Film Screening of "Revenge of the Electric Car"
Discussion after screening. Free snacks and popcorn!
*Saturday 3/17 10am-3pm: Douglas Redd Cultural Summit
An all-day session of panel discussions, performances, networking, and organizing, as well as a health fair, to provide cultural workers with the tools and direction to become more involved in rebuilding and sustaining the New Orleans community.
*Tuesday 3/20 from 4:30-7:30: Arts Council Grant Writing Program
Free grant application workshops.
*Thursday 3/22 from 6:30-8:30: The Lens Spring Salon - Focus on Juvenile Justice
A panel and open discussion about the status of the juvenile criminal justice system in New Orleans. Food and refreshments will be served.
*Saturday 3/24 from 9am-2pm: Institute of Cultural Education Shadow Theater Workshop
A workshop where participants will learn to make a Shadow Theater. Space is limited so RSVP early!
*Thursday 3/29 from noon-1:30pm: Workplace Wellness Luncheon
This month the topic is "Motion and Emotion: Our Dynamic Bodymind".
