*The New Orleans Lyceum has just announced a special presentation entitled "My Experience with a Ten-Day Silent Vipassana Meditation Retreat". The presentation will take place this Thursday 3/22 at 7:00pm at 1412 Euterpe St. Tea and goodies will be provided. See our calendar/class description pages for details.

*Also, we want to draw special attention to this Friday's Philosophy Cafe at 1412 Euterpe St (7:30pm), as the subject will be EDUCATION! Topic questions include: What is education? What is being an "educated person" today mean? Have values changed around education? Are there core values which should be bedrock? Is there such a thing as a canon of civilization that should be the subject of all education?

*On Wednesday 3/21 at 1:00pm, the Resource Center at the Freret Neighborhood Center (4605 Freret) is hosting a hands-on computer workshop about ways to find friends and family using the Internet. No computer is necessary.

*On Sunday 3/25, international Renku master Tadashi Kondo will be teaching a workshop on the Japanese art of linked verse from 1-4:45 pm at the NOPL Latter Branch at 5120 St. Charles Ave.
