SOLIDARITY ECONOMY CLASS!

Van Temple, Executive Director of the Crescent City Community Land Trust, will speak on the topic of “Community Land Trusts." A Louisiana native, Van Temple was the long-time director of Delaware’s Diamond State Community Land Trust, the nation’s first statewide land trust. He will show the 38-minute video, “Homes & Hands: Community Land Trusts,” which presents the basics of CLT housing through firsthand stories of families and individuals from around the country. This will be followed by a slide show and presentation on the work of the newly-formed Crescent City CLT, and a discussion of the potential for CLT’s locally.
