Some new additions to our website, class updates, class proposal reminder, and weekly meeting location change....

*CLASS PROPOSALS for the March semester are due on Wednesday, February 15th! If you have a class in mind, but you feel as though 2 weeks isn't enough time to prepare for it, PROPOSE EARLY! It is totally OK to propose a class for future months. This will give you more time to prepare your syllabus, find a location, and encourage students, and it will give us more time to help you with these tasks! 


*"Fluxus 2012: "Performance Art" Apocalypse" has a location! 2/10, 2/11, and 2/12 the class will be held at the Marigny Opera House @ 725 St. Ferdinand. 2/13, 2/14, and 2/15 the class will be held at the Mudlark Public Theatre @ 1200 Port Street. 


*NEWLY ADDED CLASS: "Beginner's Geneaology Workshop" on Saturday 2/25 from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Main Library Auditorium @ 219 Loyola Ave. You must call 504-596-2597 to register in advance, as class is limited to 50 participants. An "Advanced Geneaology Workshop" will take place on Saturday 3/3, same time, same place, same phone # to register. See our "Current Classes" page for more details. 


*Check out our new "Volunteer" page! This page will provide you with lots of information on how you can volunteer with the New Orleans Free School Network, including opportunities to help us put up flyers and table at markets, among other ways you can donate your time. Don't forget that you can also donate your $! All money donated to NOFSN goes directly into the collective, helping us print flyers and obtain materials for classes. 


*Check out the map on the "Propose a class" page! This map includes past, current, and potential class locations around the city to help you find out where classes are being held near you, as well to inspire ideas about where you could host your Free School class. 


*Our weekly organization meetings have changed location! We will still meet every Tuesday for 10:00 AM, but now we will be meeting upstairs at Fair Grinds Coffee House (3133 Ponce de Leon).
