Celebrate Earth Day!
In honor of Earth Day, come watch wildlife and nature documentaries at the Latter Library (5120 St. Charles Ave.) on Sunday 4/22 from noon-5pm! Watch for a minute or stay all day. There will also be great resources to help you get more "green" in your life. Free and open to all ages.
The New Orleans Community Bike Project & Bike Easy present: GET BACK ON THE SADDLE - Bicycle Commuter Workshop for Ladies & Trans Only!
This Friday 4/20 from 6-8pm at Plan B (1024 Elysian Fields Ave), dust off that old bike, or walk up to see how you can incorporate bicycle riding into your everyday life. Through hands-on activities, we’ll answer the questions: “How can I ride most safely in New Orleans?” “What is the right bike for me?” Rotate through 3 stations to help you choose the right bike, ride safely, and gain confidence. Experts at the workshop will discuss different kinds of bikes, local bike mechanics can help with basic repairs (lube chains, tighten bolts, fix flats), and bicycle instructors will teach you how to ride safely on our streets and ride with confidence.
Note: This workshop is for Ladies and Trans ONLY!
